Creative Foraging Walks
Guided walks to spark artistic discovery
Join me for a guided walk on a specially planned route. Creative prompts and exercises invite you to look, listen, and gather ideas, curiosities, photographs, sounds, and sketches to carry home and shape into new work.

Foraging is the practice of moving slowly through a landscape, paying close attention, and gathering what you find. Creative Foraging borrows that practice for artists and makers. What we gather isn't mushrooms or berries. It's ideas, curiosities, photographs, video and sound recordings, sketches, and fragments of creative work: raw material for whatever you make next.
Each walk is about three hours on a route planned with care. Along the way, I offer creative prompts and exercises designed to spark creativity and deepen your awareness of what you encounter, from what you see and hear to what a place brings up in you. There are also opportunities to make small fragments of creative work in whatever form suits you, so you leave with more than an impression.
These walks are open to professional artists, non-professional artists, craftspeople, journalers, and anyone who feels like digging into their creative self or taking a guided walk to experience the environment around them in a deeper, more mindful, and more meaningful way. No artistic background is needed, only a willingness to look, listen, and gather.
